Ulduar Raid and Travel Guide
Ulduar is a raid instance in the popular fantasy MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) World of Warcraft, developed by Blizzard Entertainment. It was first introduced in the game's second expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, which was released in November 2008. Ulduar is located in the Storm Peaks region of Northrend, the continent introduced in the expansion.
Ulduar is a large and complex raid that consists of multiple boss encounters and various difficulties, and it is considered one of the most iconic and well-received raids in the game's history. The raid is deeply embedded in the game's lore and features the story of the Old God Yogg-Saron, the Titan Keepers, and their struggles against corruption and madness.
The raid was originally designed for 10 or 25-player groups, and players could choose to engage in either normal or hard mode encounters, which offered varying levels of difficulty and rewards. In subsequent expansions and updates, Ulduar's difficulty and level requirements have been adjusted to fit the game's evolving content structure.
Ulduar Upgrades
The most recent significant upgrade to Ulduar occurred during the World of Warcraft: Shadowlands expansion when it was introduced as a "Timewalking" raid. Timewalking is a system in the game that scales down players' levels and gear to match the content from previous expansions, allowing them to revisit and experience the content as if it were current.
In the Shadowlands expansion, the Timewalking system was expanded to include old raids, with Ulduar being one of the first to receive this treatment. During special in-game events, known as Timewalking weeks, players can form groups and participate in scaled-down versions of Ulduar, which provide relevant rewards for their current level.
Flame Leviathan
Flame Leviathan is the first boss encounter in the Ulduar raid instance and features a unique vehicle-based combat mechanic. Players will need to use Siege Engines, Demolishers, and Choppers to defeat the boss. Here is a general strategy for approaching the Flame Leviathan encounter.

Vehicle Assignment: At the beginning of the encounter, players should decide on their vehicle roles:
Siege Engines: Tanks and some DPS players should use Siege Engines. These vehicles can taunt Flame Leviathan and deal ranged damage. They can also carry a passenger who can use an Anti-Air Rocket to shoot down flying Pyrite containers.
Demolishers: Ranged DPS and some healers should use Demolishers. These vehicles deal significant damage with their Hurl Boulder and Hurl Pyrite Barrel abilities. Demolishers can also carry a passenger, who can use the Load into Catapult ability to launch a player onto Flame Leviathan's back to destroy its defense turrets.
Choppers: Some DPS and healers should use Choppers. These fast vehicles can lay down Tar Patches to slow down Flame Leviathan and pick up players who have been launched onto the boss's back when they need to return to the ground.
Engaging Flame Leviathan: Once all players have chosen their vehicles, move towards Flame Leviathan and engage the boss.
Overload: Players in Demolishers should gather Pyrite from containers dropped by Siege Engines and launch it at Flame Leviathan. Once enough Pyrite has been applied, Flame Leviathan will enter an "Overload" state, taking increased damage. During this time, all vehicles should focus on dealing as much damage as possible.
Defense Turrets: Periodically, players in Demolishers should use the Load into Catapult ability to launch players onto Flame Leviathan's back. These players must destroy the defense turrets to weaken the boss and then jump back down to be picked up by Choppers.
Shutdown: When Flame Leviathan reaches 50% health, it will initiate a self-repair sequence called "Shutdown." During this time, the boss is stunned and takes increased damage. Players should use this opportunity to deal as much damage as possible.
Rinse and Repeat: Continue to manage Pyrite stacks, destroy defense turrets, and deal damage during Overload and Shutdown phases until Flame Leviathan is defeated.
Mimiron
Mimiron is a unique and challenging boss encounter in the Ulduar raid instance, featuring four distinct phases. Each phase involves a different vehicle or mechanical creation built by Mimiron, and the raid must defeat each one to progress. Here is a general strategy for each phase of the Mimiron encounter:

Phase 1: Leviathan Mk II
Positioning: Tank the Leviathan Mk II in the center of the room, with ranged DPS and healers spread out around it.
Plasma Blast: The tank should be prepared for heavy damage from Plasma Blast and use cooldowns as necessary. Healers should prioritize keeping the tank alive during this ability.
Napalm Shell: Ranged DPS and healers should be aware of the Napalm Shell ability, which targets random players and deals significant damage. Move away from the targeted area to avoid damage.
Deal damage to the Leviathan Mk II until it becomes inactive, signaling the end of Phase 1.
Phase 2: VX-001 Anti-personnel Assault Cannon
Positioning: The raid should spread out around the VX-001 to minimize damage from its abilities.
Rapid Burst: Avoid the frontal cone ability, which targets random players and deals heavy damage.
Rocket Strike: VX-001 will target random players with red targeting circles. Move away from these circles before rockets hit the ground.
Heat Wave: The entire raid will take damage from Heat Wave. Healers should be prepared to use raid-wide healing cooldowns.
Deal damage to the VX-001 until it becomes inactive, signaling the end of Phase 2.
Phase 3: Aerial Command Unit
Positioning: The raid should spread out in the room to avoid taking unnecessary damage from abilities.
Assault Bots, Bomb Bots, and Junk Bots will spawn during this phase. The raid should prioritize killing Assault Bots first, then Junk Bots, and finally Bomb Bots.
Tanks should pick up Assault Bots and keep them away from the raid.
When a Bomb Bot is near the Aerial Command Unit, DPS should kill it to deal significant damage to the boss.
Deal damage to the Aerial Command Unit until it becomes inactive, signaling the end of Phase 3.
Phase 4: V-07-TR-0N
The Leviathan Mk II, VX-001, and Aerial Command Unit will combine into a single unit called the V-07-TR-0N.
Positioning: Tank the V-07-TR-0N in the center of the room, with ranged DPS and healers spread out around it.
The raid must manage the mechanics from all three previous phases while dealing damage to the V-07-TR-0N.
During this phase, Mimiron will cast an ability called "Proximity Mines," which spawns mines around the room. Players should avoid coming into contact with these mines.
Continue managing the abilities from previous phases and deal damage to the V-07-TR-0N until it is defeated.
General Vezax
General Vezax is a boss encounter in the Ulduar raid instance in World of Warcraft. Defeating him requires proper management of a unique resource mechanic and handling his various abilities. Here is a general strategy to help you defeat General Vezax:

Positioning: Tank General Vezax near the entrance of his room, facing him away from the raid to avoid his frontal cone ability, Shadow Crash. The rest of the raid should spread out loosely behind him to minimize the impact of Shadow Crash and other abilities.
Mana Management: General Vezax has an aura called "Aura of Despair," which prevents mana regeneration from standard abilities and potions. To regain mana, players must stand near Saronite Vapors, which spawn periodically around the room. When a player absorbs a Saronite Vapor, they will gain a stacking buff called "Shadow Residue," which regenerates mana but also deals increasing shadow damage. Players should manage their mana carefully and only absorb enough stacks to maintain their abilities without taking excessive damage.
Shadow Crash: General Vezax will target random players with Shadow Crash, a projectile that deals significant shadow damage and leaves a lingering void zone. Players should move out of the void zone quickly and avoid standing in it. Tanks should reposition General Vezax if the void zone is too close, as he takes reduced damage when inside it.
Searing Flames: This ability deals raid-wide fire damage and applies a stacking debuff that reduces armor. Interrupt this ability whenever possible to minimize damage taken.
Mark of the Faceless: This ability targets a random player and leeches health from nearby allies. The affected player should move away from others to avoid draining their health.
Surging Darkness: General Vezax will periodically cast Surging Darkness, creating a large shadowy pool that expands from the center of the room. Players should move to the edges of the room to avoid taking damage from this ability.
Burn Phase: When General Vezax reaches 30% health, he will enter a "burn phase" during which his abilities become more frequent, and his damage increases. Players should use damage-increasing cooldowns, potions, and other resources to defeat him quickly during this phase.
Yogg-Saron
Defeating Yogg-Saron in Ulduar requires proper coordination, communication, and execution of specific mechanics by the raid team. The encounter has multiple phases, and the difficulty can be adjusted by choosing how many of the four available Titan Keepers will assist you during the fight. The fewer Keepers you have, the harder the encounter becomes. Here is a general overview of the Yogg-Saron fight and strategies to help you succeed:

Phase 1: The Guardians
Clear the room of all trash mobs before engaging Yogg-Saron.
Assign a tank to pick up the Guardians of Yogg-Saron that spawn during this phase. DPS players should focus on killing these Guardians quickly.
Ranged DPS should spread out to minimize damage from Shadow Nova, an AoE ability cast by the Guardians.
Healers should be prepared to heal moderate raid-wide damage.
Phase 2: Brain of Yogg-Saron
Yogg-Saron will spawn tentacles (Crusher, Corruptor, and Constrictor Tentacles) throughout the room. Assign specific roles to each type of tentacle:
Crusher Tentacles: Tanks need to pick these up, and melee DPS should focus on killing them.
Corruptor Tentacles: Ranged DPS should prioritize killing these, as they cast debuffs on players.
Constrictor Tentacles: These grab and immobilize players. The entire raid should kill them quickly to free the affected players.
Yogg-Saron will cast Lunatic Gaze, which causes Sanity loss. Players should turn away from Yogg-Saron when this is cast to avoid losing Sanity.
Yogg-Saron will open portals to the brain room. A select group of DPS and possibly a healer (depending on your raid composition and difficulty) should enter the portals. Their goal is to kill the illusions inside and damage the Brain of Yogg-Saron.
The players inside the brain room need to kill the illusions quickly to remove the immunity shield around the Brain of Yogg-Saron. Once the shield is down, they should damage the Brain as much as possible before being ejected from the room.
Repeat this process until the Brain of Yogg-Saron has been defeated.
Phase 3: Yogg-Saron's Desperation
After the Brain of Yogg-Saron is defeated, the raid will focus on Yogg-Saron himself.
Tanks need to face Yogg-Saron away from the raid to avoid frontal cone damage.
Melee DPS should be aware of the "Shadowy Barrier" surrounding Yogg-Saron, which causes Sanity loss. Do not stand inside this barrier while attacking.
Healers should be prepared for heavy raid-wide damage during this phase.
The entire raid should focus on dealing damage to Yogg-Saron while managing their Sanity and avoiding mechanics.
Kill Yogg-Saron before the raid runs out of Sanity or is overwhelmed by the damage.
